Jesus Medina is the epitome of a lifelike Steve Douglas from the American sitcom My Three Sons, a show that was broadcast in black-and-white on ABC before switching over to the CBS television network, and set the template for parenthood among a nationwide audience from 1960 to 1972. The highly rated long-running series is based on the life of Steve Douglas, a fictitious aeronautical engineer and widower played by actor Fred MacMurray, who raises three children in the Midwest, then in Los Angeles, California. At present, digital versatile disc sets have been released by Paramount Home Video.
In real life, Medina, unlike Steve Douglas, is a married man. He isn't an aeronautical engineer, but a savvy businessman who operates the BowWow Adventures Camp, a dog training firm. He is not raising three boys in the Midwest, instead he is raising four girls in Los Angeles County. He reflects Douglas' character wholeheartedly by placing his family first, and encouraging his kids to get good grades in school. "Children depend on parents for basic needs like food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and personal comfort. As a parent, I depend on them for love, and that love has driven me to be successful. I studied at Cesar Millan's Dog Psychology Center (DPC) in Santa Clarita, California, and earned various certificates of completion in dog psychology," Medina sternly stated.
It's no wonder Medina accredits his children to his success. BowWow Adventures Camp has become a lucrative investment, and has helped hundreds of families set rules, boundaries, and limitations with their four-legged friends. "We offer free in-home dog evaluations and interviews. Private training can start as low as $75, and run as high as $300 an hour depending on the training involved." BowWow Adventures Camp provides swimming lessons, off-leash walking lessons, sheepherding lessons, search, and rescue lessons to name, but, a few. Medina's favorite books include Cesar Millan's Short Guide to a Happy Dog: 98 Essential Tips, and Techniques, Cesar Millan's Lessons From the Pack: Stories of the Dogs Who Changed My Life, and Let Me Tell You About Jasper... How My Best Friend Became America's Dog, The Dog Master: The Novel of the First Dog, which, he recommends dog lovers read.
