NEW YORK, NEW YORK - Country superstar, Blake Tollison Shelton, was born on June 18, 1976 in Ada, Oklahoma. Mae Boren Axton, "Queen Mother of Nashville," convinced Shelton to pursue his dreams, so he moved to Nashville, Tennessee after graduating from high school in 1994 at 17, and by 1998, he signed with Giant Records, a country label. Giant Records closed its offices on April 13, 2001, and transferred all of its artists to Warner Bros. Nashville's list of country stars.
Since 2001, Shelton has been climbing the Billboard Charts, "Austin," his debut single, and allured radio country listeners to their speakers. The song remained at number one on Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks for 5 consecutive weeks. With all the awards, and nominations he has received over the years, he finally decided to launch, BS, his own clothing line with Macy's.
