KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - One of the greatest fighters in boxing history, Manny Pacquiao, 60-7-2, 39 KOs, came off a 378 day layoff, and controversial unanimous-decision loss to Jeff Horn on July 2, 2017, to challenge Lucas Matthysse for his secondary welterweight title this weekend. The 39-year-old picked apart Lucas Matthysse at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Filipino fighter and senator by day scored three knockdowns against Matthysse. According to CompuBox, Pacquiao outlanded Matthysse 344 to 246. Pacquiao captured the WBA "regular" welterweight title with a seventh round knockout.
"Now I am happy go to back to my country, the Philippines, to celebrate the victory and do my job as a public servant," said Manny Pacquiao on ESPN +.
